A jewelry tray pad is the padded block that sits in one position of a display tray and holds the piece: the slot for a ring or a wedding ring, the pierced pad for earrings and omega backs, the channels for pendants, with or without hooks, and the open pad for a full set. Changing the pad changes what a tray holds, which is why most jewelers keep spare pads and one set of trays. Formats, layouts and colors are listed on each product sheet.
